Course

The Foundation Course is an interdisciplinary preparatory course which is useful to access the Italian academic world. The course teaches students about systems and cultures relating to the disciplines of the visual arts and other applied arts, as well as the Italian language, all essential for enrolling in First Level Academic Courses.

At the same time, it aims to facilitate the integration of students in the Italian and European social and cultural context, through the transfer of knowledge, orientation and intercultural mediation, in a coherent and progressive way.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

. Ideal candidates have a strong predisposition and passion for the world of design and creativity, a strong predisposition to teamwork, curiosity for visual languages and social aspects related to art. Please refer to the Academy Regulations for admission procedures.

ACADEMIC ECTS
At the end of the Foundation Course, students will obtain 60 CFA (Academic ECTS), which will give them access to Academic Diploma courses or other Degree Courses at Italian Academies and Universities. These Academic ECTS are aimed only at integrating students’ academic studies by allowing them to enter academic and university courses. Therefore, they cannot be recognized for the purpose of reducing the didatic responsability provided by academic and university courses.

STUDY PLAN
The Foundation Course aims to give students a solid basic training for studies related to design planning, the world and the languages of visual and multimedia arts. A 600-hour Italian language course completes the training course.

BASIC LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS AND
OUTPUT LANGUAGE LEVEL

Students will be able to access the Foundation Course with an input language level of at least A1 of Italian. At the end of the Foundation Course, an exit language level equal to B2 will be guaranteed, the level required by Italian academies and universities for access to degree courses.

FREQUENZA E IDONEITA’ FREQUENCY AND SUITABILITY
According to the decree of the director of the Pantheon Design & Technology Institute Prot.n. 07_10 / 20 of 20 October 2020, all educational activities will take place exclusively online in synchronous mode in order to protect the health of the participants and adopt the most appropriate measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.

PARTICIPATION COSTS
For participation in the Foundation Course lasting one academic year, a registration fee is required from the student.
Students are required to send the application for registration to the Foundation Course to the Pantheon Design & Technology Institute by 31 July 2021, attaching the Declaration of Value of the last degree obtained or certificates of comparability and/or verification of the qualifications issued by ENIC-NARIC centers.
The Pantheon Design & Technology Institute reserves the right to verify the linguistic and cultural level of students through orientation tests to be carried out before the admission to the course. The course will be activated with a minimum of 15 students, subject to availability of places.

07.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
The activities will take place according to a specific schedule established by the Academic Council of the Pantheon Design & Technology Institute:

  • I course: 1st September 2021 – 31st July 2022

The Italian language course will take place during the academic year, while the other activities of the foundation course will take place within the educational schedule of the Institute between the first and second semester.
